Mission Accomplished... Mostly...
Movies seen:
Transporter 2I didn't wipe the goofy smile off my face the whole time. My only complaint was that while Kate Nauta did a good job in channeling
Pris she is unfortunately not as good looking as
Daryl Hannah. Surely they could afford to feed the poor thing.
Jeepers Creepers 2Not bad. The creature effects/concept was fun. Nice gore, but not too much. It left me with several questions, not the least of which was why not put the thing through a mulcher, but overall there are worse monster movies out there. The first one was definitely better. Oh and
Jonathan Breck is also better looking than Ms. Nauta.
I didn't get any writing done (the tv beast at my time). I did get to spend some good time with the kiddos, though EVERYONE is under the weather. And that's a weird expression because aren't we all? Anyway, that's all for now.
Stuff...
I drove a
Chevy HHR on a business trip yesterday.
Suh-weet ride.
I'm still plugging away on my novel. I'm up to Chapter Four. If you're interested in reading it drop me a comment.
My wife spray painted my hair orange and put a
jack-o-lantern face on the back so that I could Halloween it up at work. I'll post a picture later. I thus have orange dandruff.
I'd really like to go see a movie this weekend and may see if I can do that, wife or no.
Transporter 2 si playing at the $2 theater.
I really would like to go visit some friends in
Asheville and may put wheels in motion toward that end.
Oh well, we'll see what the future holds.
Of Busy-ness, Goosebumps, and Computers
Work has been much busier, thus fewer updates.
Goosebumps and not the R. L. Stine variety.
I am trying to build a laptop with Puppy Linux that doesn't require the use of a CD.
Stranded...
has been bumped and I've been wrtiing on a new novel project. What about you?
Bald pate...
Jay wanted to see it. This may crash the whole internet.
Tumblin' tumbleweeds...
Work life, home life, net life all slow. That's not necessarily a bad thing mind you.
Mayhap I shall write some more Stranded goodness today.
I really hope that I hear something one way or t'other about a certain employment opportunity.
TTFN.
Spiritual Gifts...
This seems pretty accurate based on other surveys/courses I've taken.

New van...
Well the Astro is shot. We were told that to pass inspection we'd need to sink about $700 bucks into it. The heck with that we said. Turns out we can get a car loan (which 3 months ago was not possible). Leigh went by Car Max and today we shall be the proud owners of a 2001 Windstar:
I'm not thrilled with the thought of making a car payment again or paying comprehensive insurance again, but gas mileage will be better and it's a nice vehicle. The ratings on it seem good, the price is right, and above all it should be reliable.
Kong!!!
A nice Kong painting from the cover of a British Mag. Can't wait to see this movie!
Stranded...
More desert island goodness for you to not read. ;-) Click the Scott's Brain link over there somewhere.
More moods than Carter has liver pills...
Oh and my mood has much improved thanks to some good talking with a couple of friends and my lovely wife. Still not out of the proverbial woods yet though. So keep praying.
Thunderbirds Are Go!
It was a fun movie. Yes I would have liked to have seen more of the adult Thunderbirds in action. Yes there was so much cheese that I'm sure I won't have a BM for another week. Yes there's no way that real teenagers would act like this. But when you look at the huge vehicles, Tracey Island, and Ben Kingsley playing a villain called The Hood (why the Hood when he doesn't wear one?) I think you know you're in fantasy land so it's okay.
I think that they pretty much nailed the look of the movie and the characters. I wouldn't buy it and probably wouldn't have rented it, but it wasn't at all a bad way to spend ninety minutes walking down memory lane via Starz. I give it a seven out of ten, mainly for the visuals.
